Muhammad Ali's Response to his daughter wearing a little white tank top and short black skirt:
"Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard to get them. Your body is sacred. You're far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too".

time is short
the world is wide
i still can't find my key

the hearts are veiled
the eyes wide shut
i still can't find my key

the page is blank
the mouth is dry
my key, my key, my key

hands locked over heart
i fall to my knees
God has set me free.

Currently Reading: Motherland

So, I really should be studying for Spanish, but that I will do in a couple of minutes.
Ojala que pase el examen :-x

The past few months and few more to come are ridiculously busy, but that's life. I'm planning on continuing my rambling in June, when I have time to express my thoughts freely and without the burden of stress. Usually I get away by writing, but everytime I try getting away, I fall asleep.

Just one point I would like to bring up in this blog. I've been working with a few others on a chemistry project that took a few months to innovate. A new product that could possibly be patented on behalf of Masterfoods/M$M Mars!

So Jenna, Amanda, Becca, Lily, Danielle, Allysa, and myself have been working on a new product, which I could reveal later. It was a blast, and I would publicly like to thank all of you for your support and enthusiasm throughout this project. We're going to blow these pro's away on Wednesday! Phenomenal, I tell you :-)

Holler to the Revolution!

Salam.

I haven't written in so long, and there's a consequence to that- So much to say, so little blog space :-(. I'm not going to go on an intellectual ramble-age, but so much have I experienced in the past couple of months or so, that it would be impossible to express it all into one entry.

The past couple of months I've read Kite Runner, Che Guevara's Motorcycle Diaries, Lord of the Flies (again), and i'm currently reading Motherland and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Haven't seen a movie since last summer, so I want to see this move version of Sisterhood as well as War of the Worlds, but I need to read the book first!

So much to say, I'll save it for later. Busy days require some sleep.

(oh btw, Tafsir was great today. As I have understood from the lectures of learned Muhammad Al Shareef, may Allah bless him- Just think...If we removed the Catholics from America, would we notice? 60% of America's Hospitals would be shut down. But if we kicked out the Muslims...would we notice. No, we wouldnt because our ummah, for the most part, has done little for the community outside of their box. And for those who have strived to do better, May Allah bless them and guide the rest, insha'Allah :-)
