SubhanAllah, MashaAllah, the past few days were beautiful.

My spring break went well alhamdulillah- visiting my college and friends at Montclair State, hanging with the familia, shopping with Sheema baji (considering my loathing to shop, Sheema baji was like this good luck charm and helped me find clothes I actually liked) , and procrastinating my three papers and presentation.

Since Spring is finally here, I have to get a grip on something I have lost touch with over the winter- reading Quran consistently. One day, I'm motivated to memorize Surah ar Rahman, get through maybe 10 lines, take a break, forget the 10 lines, so being the genius I am, I start with Burooj, don't get far with that, and forget both ayahs in Burooj and Rahman.

So instead of being a slacker of the deen, inshaAllah inshaAllah this spring commences the revival of my committment to studying the Quran fi sabilillah.

As our beloved Prophet sallalahu alayhi wa salam once said, "ya Allah, make the Quran the Spring of the Heart" Ameen.

Salam,
I need help creating a website for a college MSA. Does anyone have the time and generosity to help a sister out? I'm not so tech-savvy so I want to learn how to creat flash intro's, how to create an official site for their MSA, I don't know- just help me inshaAllah.

Email me at ifearone@hotmail.com if there is any good word of advice you can give me regarding website development.

Salam,

I just got back from Bryn Mawr, PA/ Philly and it pretty much finalized my decision- I LOVE Bryn Mawr College and inshaAllah hope that I can attend it next fall (please keep me in your duas).

Although there wasn't a big Muslim community as I had hoped, I met some really odd/weird/awesome girls that I got a long with really well considering I'm possibly weirder than they. They all had their own style of behavior, dress, speech, yet created such an intellectual atmosphere, it made me want to almost study. lol.

Nevertheless, Bryn Mawr is gorgeous like out of control and people are abnormal just how I like it and the academic challenge is as hardcore as I desired it to be.

Again, make dua that all goes well and my parents are also happy with the decision :)

keep it halaaal.

Salam,
Takbir! ALLAHU AKBAR for Spring Break!.

Maysa turned 13 today...which reminds me to stayyy away- teenyboppers irritate me. Nevertheless, may Allah grant my sister years of victory by the baraka of His blessings.

Mom was nostalgic from some Long John Silver's, which she used to eat at everday when pregnant with my sister. And of course, we complemented that with some Coldstone Creamery- the icecream from Jannah.

Gosh, I'm so stylish in my pirate hat.

keep it halal, matey!
